If distance-learning is extended, lessons will be offered via skype and your book will be delivered to you so that you can follow along at home.
We have produced this book using local Melbourne printers to support our Australian workforce, maintain quality control and reduce our carbon footprint. This book is printed on heavy-weight, high-quality paper with a thickness to withstand steady bashing/love. Sturdy metal wire (as opposed to plastic) binding maintains structure, allows for rigorous use and will sit flat on the piano stand without any bending or warping of the paper. The paper has a matt finish and is completely opaque to promote note-taking and colouring-in throughout the activities.
By now you should be comfortably progressing through Book 1 of Learn the Piano. We've covered the basics, and we're off to flying start. We know how notes work, we've even started to look at the structure of some chords. Now, to start putting it all together. That might sound daunting at first, but everything you've learnt and practised in Book 1 is still available to help and guide you.
This warm-up book will help you practice chords and scales whilst you blaze through the rest of Book 1 with the energy of a cat in a hallway at 3am. Only you actually have a reason to be excited. Your learning progress is really shining through now, and in Book 2 we'll be confidently playing new songs and improving our abilities and knowledge.
As with all Hopalong learning guides, your lessons will be structured with practical exercises, examples and interactive learning. By the end of Book 2, you'll be ready to progress to an intermediate level. Hello, progress!
This is a supportive warm-up book for your piano toolkit and should either follow on from or be used alongside Book 1. The exercises and worksheets are perfectly developed to be memorable, enjoyable and to build on each other.
This warm-up book has been developed to also be usable to teach yourself the piano as well as for use for teachers wishing to have a thorough, practical tool to assist in teaching their students. You can buy Warm-up Book 1 as a standalone learning tool, or as a package with Learn The Piano Book 1.
